FAQs

What is a Giclee Print?

Giclee prints are fine art prints and stand apart with their extremely high level of quality, longevity and protection from colour fading compared to a standard print. The process uses pigment based, archival quality inks professionally printed onto archival acid free paper.

Open Edition and Limited Edition Giclee Prints

Open edition giclee are prints of which the artist reserves the right to produce an unlimited quantity. Open editions are still specialty prints in terms of quality, content, and price.

As their name indicates, limited edition giclee’s are produced in a limited number only and, once all have sold, will not be produced again. Limited edition prints are more costly to buy but equally are considered to be more valuable to own; each one is signed and numbered by the artist and is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, testifying to its unique quality.

Are alternative and bespoke size prints available?

Please contact us to discuss your preferred size and enquire about any cost differential. The majority of prints can be successfully re-sized, with a few exceptions.

What is a mounted print?

A mounted print is one that sits in a soft white artist quality mount which surrounds the image [usually 2” or 3”] and is ready to frame. Only the small still life prints come ready mounted but a mounting and framing service is available on request.

What if I don’t like the frame on a chosen artwork?

Alternative frames are always an option. Dependent on the piece this may or may not incur an extra cost.
