Exhibition - Gathered Contours

An Exhibition of Landscape Paintings and Ceramics Inspired by Texture, Light, Place and Form

Rooted in the wild and ancient terrain of Dartmoor, Gathered Contours brings together two artists whose practices are shaped by the same elemental landscape — its moorlands, its coastlines, and ever-shifting light.

Painter Shirley Kirkcaldy and ceramicist Caroline Aisher both live and work on Dartmoor in Devon, and it is this shared geography — together with the sea-worn edges of Devon and Cornwall — that forms the quiet conversation at the heart of this exhibition. Though distinct in medium and approach, their work shares a sensitivity to place: a feeling for contour, texture, sky and water.

Gathered Contours is a celebration of creative kinship — two independent bodies of work that, placed together, reveal something larger than either alone.

Running from 25th July to 11th August, there will be an afternoon of refreshments for viewers on Saturday 25th July - please do join us if you are in the area!
