Sketches, studies, scribbles and musings …..

There is something quite humbling about walking in the landscape, amidst its peaks and troughs, cliff edges and stormy seas; This sense of visceral expansiveness has a profound ability to connect us to a landscapes’ ancient past, and never fails to remind me of nature’s superiority and strength. I am drawn to wild landscapes, within which I often find serenity and, in looking, images become etched in memory. Sketchbooks are simply my visual and emotional responses to a time and place - faithful companions, reminding me of these familiar, and yet still unknown, environments.
