For the workshop we will be using the landscape as a loose reference but you will be encouraged to put away any photographs or sketches and work intuitively, allowing the process to lead you through a process of experimentation and, if desired, abstraction.
What will be covered:
Using cold wax medium with traditional oil paints
Experimenting with a variety of techniques and mark-making
Creating texture and depth
Using additional materials such as pastel
Using different tools and surfaces
Experience: Suitable for anyone new to oils and cold wax or looking for different ways of using traditional materials.
